Drake Medox is seeking 3-4 Nurses who can work 1-2 shifts per week to join our team. Our client is an individual living at home with a spinal injury and criteria, client specific training will also be provided to the right candidates:

• Willing to learn and grow on the job
• Client specific training
• Exposure to clients requiring tracheostomy care
• Exposure to ventilated clients (preferred)
• Experience in ICU/PICU/ED departments (preferred but not essential)
• Experience with manual handling techniques (hoists)
• Exceptional critical thinking and time management skills
• Available for minimum of 1-2 shifts per week

You will be assisted by a support worker who will draw on your acute experience and assist with manual handling- promoting a team environment. You must currently have the following:

• Current AHPRA Registration
• Valid Australian Driver's License
• Proof of rights to work in Australia
• NDIS Worker Screening Checks
• Current Police Check (within three years)

Duties:

• Airway assistance and management
• Tracheostomy care and maintenance
• Continual clinical assessment of client
• PEGJ management including feeding and medication administration
• Personal care including skin integrity management and pressure area care
• Assisting along side the Support Worker with ADL's
• Supporting the client with activities at home and out in community
